WIRE WORK CONFIDENCE part 2, Week 7 - Channel Setting 18/05/22, 10am-1pm
This workshop introduces you to the essential skill of channel setting beads.
Use this technique to embellish your designs, showcase your beautiful gems while protecting them at the same time. Used this technique on its own for simple bangles, rings and collars or incorporated it into more complex designs and wire weaving patterns.
In this workshop, you will learn how to successfully space your beads for a neat and even finish and how to navigate curves and corners. After mastering these techniques we will create a treble clef motif where all the skills can be put into practice.
A free tutorial and pictorial guide will accompany this workshop along with the recording of the session.
Materials you will need:
· 1mm wire
· 0.8mm wire
· 0.4mm wire
· 4mm 0r 6mm gemstones strand
· 2mm-4/5mmGraduated gemstone strand, rondelles work well for this design.
· Findings to finish your designs
Tools you will need:
· Basic tool kit comprising of round nose pliers, flat/chain nose pliers and wire cutters
