Learn how to secure a cabachon within a seed bead prong style setting. step by step tutorial
Hello again fellow jewellery makers!
I hope you are having a wonderful Easter break and managing to squeeze in plenty of 'Me Time' (aka 'jewellery making') Well just in case you haven't yet, here is a perfect excuse! I have just made my second video tutorial which demonstrates how to make the bracelet pictured on the left. It is a lovely technique that will come in handy in many many designs. It is simple and fun to do and looks so effective. The tutorial is a long one though, about 20 mins, this is because the most important and most fiddly part of creating this piece is to finish it neatly. I have spent quite a bit of time demonstrating this as I feel it is as or maybe even more important than the weave itself. Not only is this type of finishing crucial to the overall look of this piece it is also a useful technique for any necklace or bracelet project allowing you not to be limited by how many strands you can fit through a crimp bead!
As always, I hope you enjoy this demo and that it is clear enough for you to go forth and make your own. Please let me know your thoughts and please also post your creations on my Facebook Page, I would love to see them.
Much Love Gemma .

Hello and welcome to my very first blog entry!
Recently I have made my debut appearance as a 'Guest Designer' on Jewellery Maker TV. Despite the initial nerves and excitement, I managed to hold it together and get through the 4 hour 'LIVE' show without any misshaps or slip-ups! I have had some wonderful feedback about my designs and performance and have found this so encouraging, so if you were one of those who messaged me your support; Thank you, I really appreciate it.
During the show I was set a challenge, and to my relief, despite being very busy during the show I put together three and a half (I managed 1 earring!) pieces of jewellery. One of these pieces (pictured below), a bib style pearl necklace featured a flower made with flat coins has received much attention in terms of requests for tutorials on how to create the flower feature. So, being the sharing, caring person that I am!! I have made my first attempt at making a video tutorial showing the technique. I hope you find it useful and as always I would appreciate your comments and feedback.
