This workshop will cover

·       Preparing for rivets

·       Creating rivets

·       Doming rivets for decorative effect

You will complete projects such as:

1.     Abstract earrings

2.     Layered pendant/bangle

Materials you will need:

·       0.4mm copper sheet (6”x6” minimum if creating a bangle

·       Other sheet metals can be used to layer if you wish, choose a similar or thinner guage.

·       1.5mm copper or silver wire

·       1.5 or 2mm aluminium wire

Tools Required for this session include:

·       Saw or sheers (bench peg if using a saw)

·       Optional metal disc cutter punch set

·       Doming/dapping block with dappers (small metal)

·       Steel block

·       6 oz or riveting hammer

·       Ballpein hammer

·       Texture hammer

·       Riveting block (optional)

·       Hole punch or drill 1.4 – 1.6mm and/or 1.8-2mm

·       Needle files

·       Sanding block or nail buffing block

·       Bail making pliers or mandrels

·       Basic jewellery making tool kit
