This workshop will cover

·       Repeated heating cooling and beating of metal to achieve folds and dimples in the metal

·       Flaring, texturing and forming.

You will complete projects such as:

1.     chased bangle

2.     layered flower


Materials you will need:

·       Copper tube/pipe 4-6mm

·       Copper sheet 4”x4”

·       1mm Wire for joining flower layers


Tools Required for this session include:

·       jewellers/german or coping saw with blades

·       bench peg if using a saw)

·       metal bench vice

·       Steel block

·       Ballpein hammer

·       Chasing hammer

·       Dapping block and punches

·       Needle files

·       Gas torch

·       Firing block

·       Glass or metal vessels for cold water

·       tweezers

·       Sanding block or nail buffing block

·       Bail making pliers or mandrels

·       Basic jewellery making tool kit
