Two years in the mind and one year in the making, 'CROWS MONTHLY MOJO' finally goes live!
Crows Monthly Mojo, started life as an idea to create a calendar, the sort you have on the wall in the kitchen with little boxes you can write your appointments in! I had a baking one and it sparked the idea that maybe a jewellery making one would be great! I still think its a good idea, but it has evolved, and with the inspiration and success of the Crows Mojo face book group, I have taken it a little further! This format, a subscription format, where tutorials are delivered directly to the subscriber every month opens up a whole variety of opportunities and makes it accessible to a much broader audience.
The basic subscription will include a jewellery making tutorial each month. Each tutorial is fully illustrated with comprehensive photographs and thorough instructions to create the feature piece for the Month. Each months project features the Gemstone associated with that month and each project differs in terms of the mediums or techniques used. Projects will range from rings, to necklaces, earrings, bracelets, book marks, pendants, brooches and hair accessories. Subscribers will also have:
Access to complimenting kits and preferential rates on materials for each tutorial via retailers working directly with me to put the kits together.
Additional challenges to further or develop each months project with prizes for the most innovative entries each month.
Access to support via Crows Mojo facebook group where myself and fellow subscribers working on the tutorials will all support each other, share their creations and experience and explore the possibilities of incorporating the techniques into new creations.
What will it cost to become a 'Crows Monthly Mojo' subscriber?
You subscription for the year is just £25! that works out at around £2.09 per month when bought all together. You can purchase a subscription for yourself, or you can purchase it as a gift. If you purchase as a gift you will be e-mailed a voucher that you can download and print to give to the recipient. you just need to state at the checkout the e-mail address of the person that you would like to subscribe.
What if I don't want all 12 tutorials?
There will be an option to buy each tutorial separately as they are released, the tutorial for each month will be available via the website the day after they are released to the subscribers. tutorials bought monthly will not have additional challenges or access to the competitions, these extra features are reserved for the Yearly subscribers. You will however still be able to join in the fun on Crows Mojo Facebook Group Each tutorial will cost £4 (this would work out to £48 for all 12, almost twice the price of subscribing! )
After a year of planning and organising and grabbing every spare moment in between shows, DVD's, Workshops, mumhood, Family commitments, foreign exchanges and house renovations I am finally ready to reveal and launch my big project for 2018! I am so excited (and relieved if I am honest!) that it is finally complete and now I can share and enjoy the involvement of everyone that gets on board the Crows Mojo Movement! If you would like to find out more and Join me on the 'LIVE LAUNCH' then just hit the button below and join me live on Saturday 14th October at 1pm until 2pm. Hope to see you there!
This Little Bird, Named 'Poppy Robin' is the latest in a string of wire bird sculptures that have been commissioned by Jewellery maker TV. Though they are obviously not jewellery, the creation of them challenges your existing jewellery making skills and enables you to explore new direction. This little chick was not made to be demonstrated and not really intended as a tutorial as really she is a little too involved to fit within a 45 minute demonstration, however if you would like to have a go at making a little beaded Robin of your own then here are a few images of her in the making. Also. a little while ago I made and demonstrated a beaded Blue tit, many of the principles are the same, a link to the demonstration and also staged photos of the Blue Tit in the making can be found by following the link below. Blue Tit in the making I hope you find these little pointers helpful, please join Crows Mojo facebook group to join in the fun and share your creative journey.
I also have a 'Wire Work Robin' workshop coming up in November at Spoiltrotten Beads, in Cambridgeshire, if you would like to book a space. follow the link for more details
