Crows mojo inspiration days 2018 Gloucester Sponsored By  Inspiration day overview Crows Mojo Inspiration days are a fusion of all the things us jewellery makers love, they will combine workshops, demonstrations, learning, fun, socialising, lots of inspiration and ideas, goodies to buy, cake, peer support and 1-1 support and problem solving from your tutor/s. The aim of the inspiration day is to help you progress your jewellery design skills along with your practical skills and generally boost your creative mojo! You will start your day by having your senses overwhelmed with sights, sounds, smells and textures that reflect the theme while meeting your comrades for the day. Once fully submerged and inspired (about an hour or so in) we will begin the day with a guided tutorial in a workshop/demonstartion style, you will then be given 1-1 support to perfect the technique if needed. (additional tutors will be on hand for larger groups) Before lunch you will be set your challenge and provided with your own sketch book, ample props, prompts, templates and design tools to begin designing your project, again 1-1 and peer support will be on hand. After Lunch you will go about creating your design with support and help along the way If needed. At around 4:00 we will begin to photograph your work and complete 360º assessments to help you find your areas of strength and areas for development. The day will close with big smiles, lots of hugging and no doubt swapping of e-mails with all the newfound friends and colleagues! The second workshop in the new 1O-part 'Wire Confidence' series! Perfect the art of creating open loops, wrapped loops and briolette wraps. In this 3-hour online workshop, you will learn how to create perfect loops that can be used in a countless number of ways in your jewellery designs. from simply linking components, finishing jewellery, adding findings, rosary linking and bubble techniques to name just a few. Gemma will guide you through the techniques, help you to overcome the pitfalls and leave you confident to use all guages of wire or head pin and virtually any bead in your jewellery projects. Gemma will cover how to create: Open loops and how to attach them Wrapped loops Rosary link techniques and tips for speedy linking! Decorative Briolette wraps on through-drilled and top-drilled beads. The third workshop in the new 1O-part 'Wire Work Confidence' series! Perfect the art of creating coils and cones and learn how to create your own uniform jump-rings. In this 3-hour online workshop, you will learn how to create coils and cones that can be used in a countless number of ways in your jewellery designs. whether using coils to bulk up a neck wire, create spaces, or add detail coils are an essential technique to master. after perfecting the coil we will go on to creating cones that can be used to finish multi-strand designs, act as cord ends or bead caps or even to frame a focal bead. as an addition you will discover how to use your coils to create jump-rings that open and close seemlessly. Gemma will guide you through the techniques, help you to overcome the pitfalls and leave you confident to incorporate coils and cones into all of your wire-work jewellery projects. Wire weaving part 1 workshop will cover how to weave 2 core wires together in three different ways. In this 3-hour online workshop, you will learn how to use finer guages of wire alongside thicker gauges of wire to create decorative woven effects that not only look beautiful but also serve to help join wires together. Gemma will guide you through the techniques, help you to overcome the pitfalls and leave you confident to weave and wrap and add wires together neatly and consistently. Gemma will cover how to create: Figure-of-eight weave earring or pendant frame Double figure-of-eight leaf components 'Castle' or 'combination' weave pendant wrap. Learn how to create decorative weaves with 3 or more core wires. In this 3-hour online workshop, you will learn how to wrap and weave wires together in a beautifully intricate way. there are so many weave patterns to try, this workshop will focus on the very versatile and effective pyramid weave using between 3 and 8 wires together. Gemma will guide you through the techniques, help you to overcome the pitfalls and leave you confident to experiment with wire wrapping and weaving in wonderful and creative ways. Gemma will cover how to create: Cuff Bangle Multi-loop feature necklace bar Solitaire ring with woven shank. To join in on the workshop you will need 1mm wire 0.8mm wire 0.4mm wire (various colours if you would like to alternate, contrast or ombre) jewellery findings such as chain, head pins and clasps to finish pieces. a selection of beads for the necklace bar and one 6-8mm round with at least 8mm drill hole for the ring. basic tool kit comprising of round nose, snipe/flat nose pliers and wire cutters a ring mandrel or similar bangle mandrel or wire forming pliers would be useful but not essential. Tiara twist technique, Whether you are creating hair vines, tiaras, gem trees or dynamic textural designs, the tiar twist is a skill to be mastered for any aspiring wire-worker. In this 3-hour online workshop, you will learn how to create perfect twists with beads that sit snuggly and centrally on the end. Gemma will guide you through the techniques, help you to overcome the pitfalls and leave you confident to evenly twist wires together to achieve the desired effect in any project or design. This Comprehensive 10-week course will help you become confident with all the most useful wire-work techniques. It is suitable for complete beginners to wirework or those who have some experience but would like to perfect the techniques, or perhaps you would like to have a lovely morning each week creating some gorgeous jewellery designs. This week we explore the ancient technique of Viking knit a little further and discover how to use the method to bezel around a cabochon. I think this sounds absolutely fantastical darls. How much is these days going to cost darls. If you need extra help if it's a big group for beginners in anything except copper work (cos I'm still a beginner hehehe) i will be happy to catch a train or bus to be there to help darls. This sounds amazing and I’d love to do it .where is it being held and how much ?i tried to open the file but it gave me nothing.so I can’t find anything out about it .whwn is it being held ? Thanks for your help fab idea xxx

I think this is a fantastic idea, takes the normal tutorial and moves it out there a bit so we still learn but also can put our own spin on an idea, which allows for a two way street creativity wise.

The attached doc opens up in gobbledegook so don’t have all the info. Otherwise sounds great although I feel much hand holding would be needed in my case as my mojo is in long term hibernation and confidence is low. Hoping this may help me.
